MLB, Mets to donate wheelchairs at FanFest

Wheelchair Sports Federation will receive 25 sports wheelchairs

Major League Baseball and the Mets will host an exhibition game and donate wheelchairs to the Wheelchair Sports Federation at the T-Mobile All-Star FanFest on Sunday.

Following the 10 a.m. ET exhibition, there will be a ceremony at "The Diamond" to commemorate the donation of 25 sports wheelchairs for adaptive athletes who participate in the federation's activities.

The Wheelchair Sports Federation is a national non-profit that provides opportunities for the disabled and wheelchair-bound adults and youth to play sports recreationally and competitively. The organization promotes and educates about the proven physical and psychological benefits of adaptive sports. It coordinates tournaments, clinics, practices, workshops and exhibition demonstrations.
