MLB Network, GRAMMYs team up for contest

Fans can enter to win trip to music's biggest night on Feb. 12 in LA

January 3rd, 2017

They are the heavy hitters, the performers that step up on the grandest of stages and deliver moments that fans never forget. And we're not just talking about baseball.
The elite artists of the music world shine under the spotlights, too, and they have quite a bit in common with the stars of Major League Baseball. In that spirit, MLB Network is teaming up with The Recording Academy to give fans of baseball and music the chance to attend the GRAMMY Awards, music's version of the World Series.
Through Jan. 18, MLB Network will feature various GRAMMY-nominated songs during its broadcasts, including spots on the morning show "Hot Stove," the daily "Intentional Talk" show and the nighttime program "MLB Tonight."
All fans need to do is tune in to MLB Network, find out the special code word to enter at MLB.com/grammysweeps to be eligible to win, and then watch MLB Network's red-carpet coverage of the GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, Feb. 12. There is a limit of one entry per person per day during the sweepstakes period. The GRAMMY Awards will be hosted by James Corden and will air live on CBS.
The grand prize includes two tickets for one winner and a guest to attend the 59th GRAMMY Awards at Staples Center in Los Angeles plus two tickets to the GRAMMY Celebration After-Party, round-trip airfare, hotel and ground transportation.
The grand prize winner and guest also will have the honor of walking the GRAMMY red carpet with former big league players and current MLB Network analysts Kevin Millar and Harold Reynolds. For more information and official rules, go to MLB.com/grammysweeps.
"I am big-time pumped to attend the GRAMMYs this year," Millar said. "I am a huge music fan of all genres and I always say that music makes me happy."
MLB.com/Entertainment will be showcasing interviews with former GRAMMY winners and GRAMMY-nominated artists on its GRAMMY Feature Page throughout the month of January.
