MLB Productions captures unique angles on Sandoval

Exclusive Camera Positions Plus Archival Footage Puts Accomplishment in Historical Context

While documenting every angle of the World Series for the upcoming Official World Series Film, Major League Baseball Productions had multiple unique camera positions during Game One, enabling its staff to capture Pablo Sandoval’s historic three home run performance from different vantage points throughout the ballpark.

This footage would typically be held until the film premieres next month, but given the historic nature of the accomplishment it is being released today online.

Combined with footage from the MLB Productions Film & Video Archive of the previous World Series three home run games by Albert Pujols in 2011 and Reggie Jackson in 1977, as well as archival footage of Babe Ruth (who accomplished the feat twice), the video puts Sandoval’s accomplishment in historical context.

Coverage of Game Two of the World Series begins tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
