Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association brings "Swing with the Legends" Golf Classic to Houston, TX
Event to feature Larry Dierker, Art Howe, Jimmy Wynn and more than 50 other MLB Alumni
The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting host a "Swing with the Legends" celebrity golf tournament featuring former MLB All-Stars, Gold Glove Award winners and other alumni. A celebrity reception will take place on April 27th and the golf tournament will take place on April 28th.Proceeds from this event will benefit Tony's Prostate Cancer Research, a charity focused on finding a cure for the disease.
Alumni players attending* the event include former Astros stars Kevin Bass, Larry Dierker, Art Howe, JR Richard and Jimmy Wynn,as well as Bernie Allen, Bob Allen, Max Alvis, Alan Ashby, Bob Aspromonte, Ken Aspromonte, Gary Bell, Ed Biles, Micah Bowie, Bill Brown, Tim Burgmeier, Enos Cabell, Roberto Clemente, Jr., Cecil Cooper, Archie Corbin, Jose Cruz, Jr., Danny Darwin, Jerry DaVannon, Odie Davis, Bill Dawley, Jeff DeWillis, John Edwards, Bart Evans, Maggie Flecknoe, Jim Floor, Phil Garner, Jim Gideon, Bubba Gilliam, Jose Guzman, Kenny Hand, Todd Haney, Bill Heath, Kenny Houston, Trenidad Hubbard, Cliff Johnson, Andy Kosco, Frank Kostro, Chuck McElroy, Wally Moon, Balor Moore, Matt Musil, Doug Pike, Frank Quilici, Andre Robertson, Bruce Ruffin, Ken Sanders, Bob Shirley, Mike Smith, Don Stanhouse, Greg Swindell, Robert Tolan, Richard Thon, Mark Thurmond, Carl Warwick, Brian Williams, Anthony Young and Pat Zachary.
The celebrity reception will take place on Sunday, April 27th at 6:00 p.m., hosted at Masraff's, located at 1753 Post Oak Boulevard, Houston, TX 77056. The golf event the following day will take place at the Golf Club of Houston, with a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m. The Golf Club of Houstonis located at 5860 Wilson Road, Humble, TX 77396. After the tournament there will be an awards dinner, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
