More than 650 players to attend T12 tryout camp at Rogers Centre

The Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy will hold an open tryout camp for Tournament 12 (T12), presented by New Era at Rogers Centre, May 12-15. More than 650 players will compete for the 40 available roster spots for the two Ontario teams playing in T12 in September, 2015.

Amateur baseball players born in the province of Ontario who are between the ages of 14-19 (as of September 1, 2015) are eligible to participate in the camp. 

Position players will be evaluated based on; Speed (60 Yard Sprint), Throwing, Defense, and Hitting. Pitchers will be evaluated by throwing in the bullpen. Each evaluation session will run approximately 5 hours.

Tournament 12 presented by New Era is a national baseball tournament designed to showcase the best college-eligible Canadian-born players to both professional scouts and college recruiters. T12 will take place at Rogers Centre, September 14-18, 2015.

Baseball Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar will act as the tournament commissioner and will receive assistance from his father Sandy, along with Blue Jays alumni Paul Quantrill, Tanyon Sturtze, Devon White, Lloyd Moseby, and Duane Ward.
