The Washington Nationals have agreed to a deal with first-round pick Dane Dunning, according to MLBPipeline.com's Jim Callis.
The club has not confirmed the signing.
Dunning, the No. 29 overall pick in the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft, received a $2 million bonus from Washington. The allotted slot value for the selection is $2,034,600.
The right-handed pitcher from the University of Florida threw mostly in relief for the Gators because of the depth of their starting rotation, but has the stuff to become a starter at the next level. He features a fastball that sits around 92-93 mph and can touch 95 to go along with a plus changeup.
