Washington Nationals and Coca-Cola team up to "Get the Ball Rolling" with baseball clinic at Nationals Park

The Washington Nationals and Coca-Cola are teaming up to promote active, healthy living among youth in the Washington, D.C., area by hosting the Live Positively: Get the Ball Rolling Baseball and Fit Clinic at Nationals Park on Wednesday, June 26.

Approximately 150 children from the Prince George's County Boys and Girls Club and D.C. Parks and Recreation will take part in the baseball-themed, healthy lifestyle clinic, which will focus on physical activity, baseball technique and healthy living. Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman will be on hand to assist in teaching batting, fielding and baserunning techniques as part of the clinic, which will utilize the entire ballpark (field, batting cages, dugouts and bullpens). The Racing Presidents will also make an appearance.

The Live Positively: Get the Ball Rolling Baseball and Fit Clinic is designed to educate local youth about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle through proper exercise and nutrition. The initiative began in 2010 with the support of D.C.-area sports teams. Since then, the program has expanded to New York City, Boston, Philadelphia and Baltimore.
