Nationals Announce 2016 Promotional Schedule

Following the reveal of select Nationals 2016 promotional items on the team's Twitter account (@nationals), the full 2016 promotional calendar is now available online at nationals.com/promotions.

"We seek to enhance the excitement on the field by creating an equally engaging experience in the ballpark, and a big part of that is our promotional giveaways," said Valerie Camillo, chief revenue and marketing officer for the Nationals. "This season, as fans enter the gates, we will hand out fun collectibles, items for kids, clothing and electronics. We are also expanding our popular lineup of theme nights, which launched last year with STAR WARS™ and '80s Night, by adding three new events for fans, including a Rat Pack-themed evening."

Exciting giveaways in 2016 include several Nationals bobbleheads, with two depicting Max Scherzer's no-hitters, one of new manager Dusty Baker and one commemorating Bryce Harper's 2015 NL MVP Award. Other giveaway items include a special figurine of Jayson Werth and his dog, Magnus, and a Bryce Harper Chia Pet. The Racing Presidents will appear on two giveaway items, including a Teddy window cling, as well as a bobblehead presented by the White House Historical Association.

Nationals Park will host several theme nights during the 2016 season, including Rat Pack Night, Oktoberfest and Election Night. STAR WARS™ Day and '80s Night will also return. Each theme night will involve giveaways, in-park activations, special scoreboard elements and on-field pregame festivities. Yoga in the Outfield, College Rivalry Night, Ladies Night and Taste of the World will each require a special ticket for the promotional item and pre/postgame event. During the first-ever Taste of the World, the Nationals will highlight Washington, D.C.'s international community with a food tasting at the ballpark. Fan-favorite events such as Seniors Stroll the Bases and Pups in the Park will return as well.

Single game tickets for the 2016 season will go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 26 at 10 a.m. Tickets may be purchased online at nationals.com, by calling 888.632.NATS(6287) or by visiting the Nationals Park Main Box Office* at Half and N Streets, SE.
