With strong continuity throughout the system, the Nationals' minor league managers and their respective coaching staffs remain intact from the 2016 season. They are augmented by the following changes to the strength and conditioning staffs:

  • After previously serving as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Double-A Harrisburg, Tony Rogowski was promoted to the role of Latin American Strength and Conditioning Supervisor as well as Gulf Coast League Nationals Strength and Conditioning Coach.
  • RJ Guyer was named Double-A Harrisburg Strength and Conditioning Coach. He replaces Rogowski. Guyer previously served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Single-A Hagerstown Suns.
  • Gabe Torres was named Single-A Potomac Strength and Conditioning Coach, replacing Warren. Torres previously served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the short-season Single-A Auburn Doubledays.
  • Jorge Vasquez joins the organization as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Single-A Hagerstown Suns. Vasquez has spent time in the Miami Marlins system as well as stops at St. Leo University and the University of South Florida. He replaces Guyer.
  • Also new to the organization is Shane Hill, the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the short-season Single-A Auburn Doubledays. Hill received his Masters from the University of Florida in 2016 and graduated from Nova Southeastern (FL) University.
