Hitter to watch: Carter Kieboom (Nationals' No. 4), Hagerstown at Rome (7 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Kieboom, 19, has been on a tear of late, hitting .429/.444/.943 with four home runs, six doubles and 11 RBIs over his last eight games for Class A Hagerstown. He's hit safely in seven of those contests, including four multi-hit performances. For the season, the 2016 first-rounder (No. 28 overall) is batting .339/.405/.596 with 37 hits, 16 extra-base hits and 20 RBIs through 28 games.

Pitcher to watch: Jack Flaherty (Cardinals' No. 8), Springfield at Arkansas (6:10 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Flaherty will take the mound in Game 1 of Double-A Springfield's twin bill after they were rained out on Thursday night. The 21-year-old righty was brilliant in his most recent start, as he matched his career high with 12 strikeouts in seven dominant innings, allowing one earned run on two hits and one walk. After six starts, Flaherty leads all Texas League hurlers in wins (5-0), innings pitched (tied-39 1/3), ERA (0.69) and WHIP (0.74).

Duel of the day: Patrick Murphy (Blue Jays' No. 17) vs. Cody Reed (D-backs' No. 19), Lansing at Kane County (7:30 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Murphy worked a season-high seven innings in his most recent turn for Class A Lansing, allowing two earned runs on five hits and four walks with one strikeout. After yielding six runs in five innings in his season debut, the 21-year-old righty has gone 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA in his last four starts totaling 23 1/3 innings.
Reed, 20, hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in any of his five starts for Kane County. He's posted a 1.81 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP in that span, with 35 strikeouts and seven walks in 24 2/3 innings. Opposing hitters, meanwhile, are batting just .194 against the southpaw.
