Inbox: Are Zimmerman's miscues concerning?

Manager Davey Johnson is not worried about Ryan Zimmerman's throwing errors. Do you think it's an area of concern?

The answer is no. We forget that Zimmerman's right shoulder is not 100 percent healthy. Zimmerman even said it could take until June to be 100 percent after having surgery this offseason. Besides, I don't think there is anybody else on the Nationals who can play third base better than Zimmerman. In my opinion, Zimmerman is still better than Anthony Rendon defensively.

Danny Espinosa had a lot of strikeouts last year and is below the Mendoza Line so far this year. Do you think Steve Lombardozzi could take over the starting spot?

I'm going to defend Espinosa. He is a very good defensive second baseman. That alone should keep Espinosa in the lineup. I really believe he will put it together on offense soon. Espinosa is too good to be in a slump all season. I don't see Johnson giving up on him, either.

As for Lombardozzi, he is not better than Espinosa defensively, and he is not hitting the ball any better. I like Lombo in left field for the time being.

Do you think Tyler Moore could benefit from getting regular playing time with Triple-A Syracuse?

Johnson is a patient man, and I see him keeping Moore in the big leagues for a while. Remember, Moore is not the only one who is not hitting. A lot of players on the Nats are not hitting. Moore works hard, and I see him putting it together in no time.

Do you think it's appropriate for the Nationals to play Michael Morse's walk-up song, "Take On Me," as a seventh-inning stretch song? Is that a bad omen?

I don't have a problem with the Nationals playing the song. It's my favorite song of the 1980s. It has nothing to do with the Nats winning or losing. As you can see, the a-ha song is popular with the fans to this day. I love when they sing along with the song in the seventh.
