Nationals Minor Leaguer Wilkie suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Washington Nationals Minor League right-handed pitcher Josh Wilkie has received a 50-game suspension after a second violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program for a drug of abuse.

The suspension of Wilkie, who is currently on the roster of the Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs of the International League, is effective immediately.
