Nats give fans dugout view on Snapchat Day

March 11th, 2016

VIERA, Fla. -- The Nationals aimed to give fans a different perspective Friday, using Snapchat to provide updates from inside or near the dugout during Washington's 9-5 victory against the Mets.
It was a part of Major League Baseball Snapchat day, where MLB and all 30 clubs published Snapchat stories to give fans a glimpse of Spring Training. The Nationals did not post to any other social media accounts during the game, directing fans to Snapchat to follow along with the day's events.

The Nationals' Snapchat story started before the game and took fans inside the dugout as the players prepared to take batting practice, inside manager Dusty Baker's office during his pregame news conference with the media and right outside the batting cage as reigning National League Most Valuable Player Bryce Harper unleashed his powerful swing.
During the game, fans were treated to videos from dugout level to give them a chance to see the game from a new perspective. That included look-ins to the dugout during the game, views down the baseline as players swiped bases and a few scoring updates and highlights throughout the game.
