LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla -- Right-hander Erick Fedde, the No. 4 prospect in the Nationals' farm system by MLB.com, traveled with the team to Champion Stadium as an emergency pitcher on Saturday. It was Fedde's first chance to be with the big league team.
Fedde started the day by going to Space Coast Stadium, where he was greeted by childhood friend Bryce Harper and then had a brief introduction with manager Dusty Baker.
"I'm pretty excited and I'm a little nervous. It's a cool experience. It's good to be up here for a day," Fedde said.

Fedde needed Tommy John surgery after he was drafted in the first round of the 2014 First-Year Player, but he recovered nicely, pitched in 14 games last year with a combined 4.34 ERA for Class A Auburn and Hagerstown.
"It's 21 months [since Tommy John surgery], and that's when everybody says you are feeling back to normal," Fedde said. "I'm feeling how I was in college before the surgery. I'm finally able to feel normal again."
