Nats release 29-game Spring Training slate

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals are entering their 11th season since moving to the D.C. area. On Thursday, the team released its 29-game Spring Training schedule for the 2016 season.

There will be a new manager in place for Washington in Dusty Baker, who will be Bryce Harper's third skipper since he entered the league in 2012.

The Nationals will begin the Grapefruit League season against the Rays in Port Charlotte, Fla., on March 2. The next day, the Nats have their first home Spring Training game against the Mets at Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Fla. It will be one of three visits the Mets will make during the Grapefruit League season.

The Nationals will play a total of 14 home games at Space Coast Stadium. The home Grapefruit League schedule also includes a pair of visits from the Cardinals (March 13 and March 24). The Astros will visit the Nats three times (March 10, March 14 and March 21). The Yankees will also make their annual trip to Viera on March 23.

During one stretch, the Nationals will host four games at Space Coast Stadium in five days -- March 10-14. The Nats' lone day of split-squad action will take place March 27.

Spring Training season packages, which include all 14 home games, will be available beginning on Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. ET online at nationals.com/spring.
