WASHINGTON -- Nationals right-hander was throwing off flat ground during the club's workout on Tuesday at Nationals Park.
Strasburg, who hasn't pitched in a game since straining the flexor mass in his right arm on Sept. 7 against the Braves, will not appear in the National League Division Series, which begins on Friday (FS1, 5:30 p.m. ET).

Asked if Strasburg could possibly be ready for the NL Championship Series, general manager Mike Rizzo said, "If he's ready to pitch, he will pitch. That's as far as I can go with that statement right now. He's in his … throwing program."
INJURY REPORT
Nationals outfielder Michael Taylor was at the workout on Tuesday afternoon, but he wasn't able to do much because his left thumb was wrapped. Taylor hurt it sliding head first into second base against the Marlins this past Saturday.
Manager Dusty Baker sounded as if Taylor would not be on the postseason roster because of the injury.
"He is doing --- not well," Baker said. "Anybody that hurts a thumb, it takes time because you don't have regular circulation in the thumb. It takes a while to heal. … Naturally, he is a little apprehensive, and we are, too. We are not sure about Michael Taylor."

, on the other hand, said he is ready to play Game 1 of the NLDS. He was dealing with a calf injury last week.
"I feel good. I played in the last game. I'm good to go," Zimmerman said.

QUOTABLE
"All that's behind us, as a team, as an organization. We can sit here and talk about how great we were and things like that, but that's all behind us. So I just really want to focus on what we can [do] now, as a team, as an organization."
