New faces join 2014 starter Goldschmidt on ASG ballot

Gosewisch, Ahmed, Lamb and Inciarte aim to represent D-backs

PHOENIX -- The D-backs have a lot of new faces on this year's All-Star Ballot, which was released Wednesday.

Those appearing on an All-Star Ballot for the first time include catcher Tuffy Gosewisch, shortstop Nick Ahmed, third baseman Jake Lamb and outfielder Ender Inciarte.

The others on the ballot for the D-backs are first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, second baseman Chris Owings and outfielders A.J. Pollock and Mark Trumbo.

Last year, Goldschmidt collected 3,516,980 votes to easily beat out the Dodgers' Adrian Gonzalez to get the start at first base. He became the first D-backs position player to be voted into the starting lineup since Luis Gonzalez in 2001.
