The A's return home for a nine-game, 10-day homestand against the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Angels and Seattle Mariners beginning Friday, Sept. 2 at the Oakland Coliseum.

The A's return home for a nine-game, 10-day homestand against the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Angels and Seattle Mariners beginning Friday, Sept. 2 at the Oakland Coliseum.
 
The homestand opens with a retirement tribute to Red Sox slugger David Ortiz prior to the Friday, Sept. 2 contest. The weekend series also includes Jose Canseco "Rookie of the Year" Bobblehead Night, presented by Kelly-Moore Paints and Breast Cancer Awareness Day, presented by Zevia. On Labor Day, fans will receive a Sonny Gray Fleece Blanket, presented by XFINITY.

David Ortiz retirement recognition: The A's will honor David Ortiz during a pregame ceremony on Friday, Sept. 2. Team president Michael Crowley and manager Bob Melvin will present Ortiz with a 3 liter etched bottle of Hourglass Estates Cabernet.
Jose Canseco "Rookie of the Year" Bobblehead, presented by Kelly-Moore Paints: Fans can relive the 30th Anniversary of Jose Canseco's historic 1986 season with the Jose Canseco "Rookie of the Year" Bobblehead, presented by Kelly-Moore Paints on Saturday, Sept. 3. Canseco will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
Breast Cancer Awareness Day, presented by Zevia: On Sunday, Sept. 4, the A's will host their 18thAnnual Breast Cancer Awareness Day, presented by Zevia. More than 350 breast cancer survivors will form a human pink ribbon on the field and white doves will be released prior to the game. Pink jerseys and other BCA Day items will be on sale to benefit the American Cancer Society and Cancer Prevention Institute of California and 10,000 fans will receive a set of pink wristbands, courtesy of Zevia. As part of the day, Drake's Brewing and Spectra, will donate $10 from the sale of every Drake's beer to Breast Cancer Awareness Day charities. Breast Cancer Awareness Day is presented by Zevia, Athena® bottled water, Sutter Health, Drake's Brewing Co., State Roofing Systems, Comerica Bank, Nelson Staffing, and BDA.
Sonny Gray Fleece Blanket, presented by XFINITY: On Monday, Sept. 5, 15,000 fans will receive a Sonny Gray fleece blanket, presented by XFINITY, before the A's Labor Day matinee against the Angels.
Stephen Vogt XFINITY Store Visit: Stephen Vogt will be signing autographs for fans on Saturday, Sept. 3 from 11 a.m. - noon at the XFINITY Store at 31055 Courthouse Drive in Union City. This opportunity is limited to the first 150 fans.
Cal Night: Fans who pre-purchase the Cal Night special ticket will receive a University of California, Berkeley themed A's beanie at the Tuesday, Sept. 6 game. To purchase tickets, visit athletics.com/Cal.
Filipino Heritage Night: Fans who pre-purchase the Filipino Heritage Night special ticket for the Friday, Sept. 9 game will receive an A's Filipino Heritage hat. To purchase tickets, visit athletics.com/filipino. 
Faith and Family Day: The A's will host their annual Faith and Family Day on Saturday, Sept. 10. The special ticket includes access to a post-game event featuring players and coaches sharing their testimonials and a performance by Donnie Moore and the Radical Reality Team. A's Kids Club: Kids Club members have the chance to be selected to participate in in-game activities, including "Water Kid" during select Friday games, "Steal the Base" during select Saturday games, and "Guest P.A. Announcer" during select Sunday games. Membership kits can be purchased online at athletics.com or at Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday home games behind Section 113.
Community Relations
Breast Cancer Awareness Day Fundraising Table: Fans will have the opportunity to purchase Breast Cancer Awareness Day pins, caps and necklaces with proceeds benefiting breast cancer education, research and awareness, during the weekend series versus the Boston Red Sox, Sept. 2 - 4. The A's will also be raffling off a custom-made autographed quilt; raffle tickets for the quilt are $5 each. The fundraising table will be set up behind section 120.
Childhood Cancer Awareness Day: The A's will join Major League Baseball and all MLB Clubs in a league-wide effort to raise childhood cancer awareness when they host by "Childhood Cancer Awareness Day" on Friday, Sept. 2. All MLB players, coaches, umpires and grounds crew members will wear gold ribbon decals and wristbands to further promote awareness for childhood cancer. The A's will also honor pediatric cancer survivors during pregame activities, including joining the team on the field for the National Anthem and throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.
Roberto Clemente Award Nominee: A's pitcher Sean Doolittle will be recognized as the A's nominee for the national 2016 Roberto Clemente Award during an on-field ceremony prior to the game on Wednesday, Sept. 7. The Roberto Clemente Award recognizes the player who best exemplifies the game of baseball, sportsmanship, community involvement and positive contribution to their team.
School of Imagination field visit: Stephen Vogt will visit host students from Dublin's School of Imagination for a game of catch on the field on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 3 p.m. Vogt makes regular visits to the school throughout the season. The program is supported by Azusa Pacific University, Vogt's alma mater.
Kids Club Mock Press Conference: Members of the Kids Club will join an A's player for a mock press conference in the A's interview room at 10:30 on Saturday, Sept. 10. The kids will have the opportunity to ask questions, take photos and receive autographs.
A's Amigos: The A's Amigos program gives bilingual Spanish-speaking children from non-profit organizations the opportunity to interact with bilingual A's players. Participants are able to learn about the value of sportsmanship and hard work from their role models. In addition to the pregame chat, each child receives a game ticket and an A's cap. A's Amigos is sponsored by Kelly-Moore Paints.
Little A's: During select games throughout the season, youth and their chaperones from nonprofit organizations will have the opportunity to attend the A's game free of charge. In addition to a game ticket, each child receives a pair of A's themed socks and child-admission pass to the Oakland Zoo. The Little A's program is presented by Bank of America and supported by the Oakland Zoo, the Clorox Foundation, and Capitol Corridor.
Take the Field with the A's: The Take the Field with the A's program gives youth baseball and softball teams the chance to live out their Major League dreams. As part of this program, youth players from a local baseball or softball team join Oakland A's players on the field during the National Anthem.
Green Stampede Homework Club: On select games throughout the season, elementary school students will visit the Coliseum to receive help with their homework from tutors and aides. An A's player will visit and sign autographs for the students as a way to congratulate them for their hard work. After the students have finished their homework, they are able to sit in the stands and watch the game.
Food Bank Wednesdays, presented by Lagunitas: On Wednesday, Sept. 7 volunteers will be on-site to help collect cans of food and monetary donations before the game to benefit the Alameda County Food Bank. With every five cans donated or $5 contribution, fans will receive a buy one get one free ticket voucher for a future game.
A's Community Fund Silent Auction: Every Saturday and Sunday home game (and other select games), the A's Community Fund hosts a silent auction featuring signed and unsigned A's memorabilia as well as game-used items. The silent auctions are located in the A's fan center behind section 120 and end with the last out in the bottom of the fifth inning.
50/50 Raffle: The Oakland A's Community Fund hosts a 50/50 Raffle at select games throughout the season. One fan will win half of the gross proceeds raised at each game, with the remaining proceeds benefiting the Community Fund. Ticket sales run from when stadium gates open through the bottom of the sixth inning. Fans can purchase tickets at the kiosk located at section 217 or from a roaming ticket seller. The winner will be announced in the eighth inning.
