Rockies place Hundley on 15-day DL

May 6th, 2016

Rockies catcher Nick Hundley is going back on the disabled list.
The team placed Hundley on the 15-day disabled list due to a strained left oblique. The veteran catcher, in his second season with the Rockies, was previously placed on the seven-day disabled list after suffering a concussion from a foul tip on April 13.
The Rockies called up catcher Dustin Garneau from Triple-A Albuquerque. He'll be making his second big league appearance this season after replacing Charlie Blackmon on the roster for three games in April. In those three games, Garneau went 4-for-10 (.400) with one run and three doubles.
In 25 Major League games including last season, Garneau has batted .188 with two home runs and nine RBIs.
