SEATTLE -- Mariners reliever Nick Vincent, on the 10-day disabled list for the past three weeks with a strained right groin, will begin a Minor League rehab stint with Triple-A Tacoma on Monday and could be back with the team by next weekend in Boston.
Vincent will pitch two rehab outings, with the second one slated for Double-A Arkansas on Wednesday, before being re-evaluated, according to manager Scott Servais.
Tacoma hosts Iowa on Monday at Cheney Stadium and Vincent will pitch an inning in that game. With the Rainiers off on Wednesday, the 31-year-old will then join Arkansas for their Wednesday afternoon game at Northwest Arkansas, which also makes it easier to then hook up with the Mariners on their East Coast road trip.
Vincent is 3-1 with a 4.09 ERA in 25 outings this season for Seattle with 23 strikeouts and six walks in 22 innings. He's been an integral part of the Mariners' bullpen for the past three years and was 3-3 with a 3.20 ERA and 29 holds last season as their primary setup man.
This season, Vincent has shared setup duties with Juan Nicasio and newly acquired Alex Colome.

Nicasio is also on the disabled list with a swollen right knee that has sidelined him for 10 days, but he threw live batting practice without issue on Saturday and the plan remains intact for him to come off the DL on Tuesday in New York.

Catcher Chris Herrmann, who went on the DL on May 30 with a strained right oblique after playing one game for Seattle, is midway through a rehab stint with Tacoma and also could be activated soon.
Herrmann has played the past four games for the Rainiers, going 2-for-10 with a double, two RBIs, two walks and a hit by pitch. Herrmann has mostly been playing at designated hitter, but went 2-for-3 while catching on Saturday.
