"Night Court" is in Session at Safeco Field

The First 35,000 Fans Will Get Black King'S Court T-Shirts for Felix's September 13 Start

When Felix Hernandez takes the mound at Safeco Field for his September 13 start against the Oakland Athletics, Safeco Field will be blacked out for "Night Court."

Instead of the usual bright yellow T-shirts for the King's Court special seating sections, the first 35,000 fans through the gates of the ballpark will receive a special black T-shirt to commemorate King Felix's start.

The King's Court cheering section started in 2011. The popularity has grown over the years and on some occasions it is extended to multiple sections including the Upper Court (the Terrace Club), the High Court (seating in the 300 Level), and the Supreme Court, when the whole ballpark is converted to the King's Court for Felix's first home start of the season.

September 8th King's Court

Mariners fans get a special treat this homestand as Felix is scheduled to make two starts. In addition to the "Night Court" start on September 13, Felix is also schedule to take the mound on Monday, September 8, vs. the Houston Astros. Tickets for the September 8 King's Court are $30 and include a ticket, a T-shirt and a "K" Card. Those tickets are on sale now at mariners.com/felix.

Tickets for the September 13 "Night Court" game, and all remaining games on the Mariners home schedule, are available at the Safeco Field Box Office and at Seattle Mariners Team Stores (4th & Stewart in downtown Seattle, Bellevue Square, Southcenter Mall & Alderwood Mall). Tickets are also available online at mariners.com/tickets, and by phone at 1-888-SEA-HITS (732-4487)
