North Shore Road Restrictions Tomorrow

City Participates in Homeland Security Drill

PITTSBURGH, PA - There will be road restrictions near PNC Park Tuesday, April 8 while a homeland security exercise takes place.

The City of Pittsburgh Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, the U.S. Army National Guard, the Ohio State Civil Support Team, and PNC Park will conduct the exercise from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.

As a result, Mazeroski Way from General Robinson Boulevard to North Shore Drive will be closed to traffic and there will be no parking allowed. Only local traffic will be allowed to enter North Shore Drive at Tony Dorsett Drive.

The scenario for the exercise involves hazmat, law enforcement and emergency management addressing a series of suspicious packages during the World Series.
