The Washington Nationals are excited to announce that Uber is now the Official Ride-Share Partner of the Washington Nationals.
Uber's presence at Nationals Park will include sponsorship of in-park replays during the 6th inning of each Nationals home game, starting with tonight's game against Philadelphia. In addition, exterior ballpark signage will direct fans to designated Uber pickup locations at the end of Nationals games and major non-baseball events.
"The Washington Nationals are thrilled to welcome Uber as our official ride-share partner," said Valerie Camillo, Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer of the Washington Nationals. "We are confident Uber will help us enhance the game day experience through a best-in-class transportation solution."
"Uber DC is proud to support the great Washington baseball tradition and cheer on our Nats," said General Manager for Uber in DC Tom Hayes. "With this partnership, Uber DC will ensure fans get a seamless game day experience to and from Nationals Park, and we want to thank the Nationals for helping us celebrate the valuable services Uber drivers provide throughout the region."
Under the new agreement, there will be three designated Uber pickup locations at various points near Nationals Park:
As part of the partnership, Uber will also recognize a rider-selected "All-Star Driver" during pregame ceremonies at various games throughout the 2017 regular season. Uber riders in the D.C. area will be able to nominate their driver for this honor by selecting the "All-Star compliment" icon in the app after they rate their ride. In addition to the on-field recognition, selected drivers will receive a VIP experience at Nationals Park, including pregame field access to watch batting practice and premium seating for a Nationals home game.
