Angels Host Braves and Twins in Seven-Game Homestand

The Angels return for their fourth homestand after a 10-game road trip. The homestand begins Monday at 6:07 p.m. vs. the Braves (Monday, May 29 - Wednesday, May 31). Following the three game series, the homestand will conclude with the Twins (Thursday, June 1 - Sunday, June 4).

The Angels return for their fourth homestand after a 10-game road trip. The homestand begins Monday at 6:07 p.m. vs. the Braves (Monday, May 29 - Wednesday, May 31). Following the three game series, the homestand will conclude with the Twins (Thursday, June 1 - Sunday, June 4). Below is a look at the notable events and ceremonies taking place at Angel Stadium during the homestand:
MEMORIAL DAY
· The Angels will kick off the homestand on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29. To honor those who serve and protect our country the Angels will hold various ceremonies prior to first pitch. The Angels will honor a soldier in its Act of Valor, pre-game ceremony. During the National Anthem, performed by U.S.A.F MSGT Daniel Plaster, the Angels will display a 300' American flag on the field. The flag will be held by members of each branch of military. There will also be a moment of silence to recognize the soldiers who have been lost protecting our country. Following the game, there will be a Memorial Day themed fireworks show.
BEACH WEEK
· Wednesday, May 31, is the beginning of Beach Week at Angel Stadium. During Beach Week, the Angels will be giving out multiple promotional items such as a Beach Hat, Beach Shark Rally Monkey and Angels Beach Towel.
· On Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3, the Angels will be hosting a Beach Week luau. The luau will feature ukulele themed music, shaved ice and games.
· Saturday, June 3, will also be Laguna Beach Family Night at the Big A. Residents of Laguna Beach will partake in the pre-game ceremonies and in game events.
· To conclude Beach Week, Saturday night will feature a Beach Week themed fireworks display accompanied by music from the Beach Boys.
LITTLE LEAGUE DAY                                                                                                                                                                 
· Sunday, June 4, will mark the third of four Little League Days hosted by the Angels in 2017. A total of 4,000 kids from the Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel and Lake Forest Little Leagues will be in attendance for the afternoon. Players from each league will march in a parade on the field's warning track before the matchup against the Twins.
· Three players have been chosen to participate in the Angels pregame activities. Vince Hensley will be the Angels Honorary Bat Kid, Andrew Golubow will throw out the first pitch and Nathan King will give the 'Play Ball' announcement.
PROMOTIONS
· Prior to the game on Tuesday, May 30, the Angels will host the Avid Angels Scholars ceremony, recognizing students who have been helped in school through the Angels organization.
· On Wednesday, May 31, the Angels will host the Wells Fargo Hero ceremony. The ceremony recognizes a citizen in the community as its honorary hero.
· During a pregame ceremony on Thursday, June 1, the Angels and St. Josephs will honor some of the doctors who work at the hospital.
· Friday, June 2, is Dairy Night at the Big A. The Angels will have cows on the field and participants from each team will proceed in milking the cows.
· Sunday, June 3 is Family Sunday at Angel Stadium. Following the game against the Twins, kids will have the opportunity to run the bases. Upon leaving, kids will also receive a complimentary plastic bat and ball.

· Upon entrance to the game on Wednesday, May 31, fans will be given an Angels Beach Hat, presented by Thermador.
· Upon entrance to the game on Thursday, June 1, fans will receive an Angels Beach Towel, presented by San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
· Upon entrance to the game on Friday, June 2, fans will receive a Beach Shark Rally Monkey, presented by St. Joseph Hoag Health.
