Twins to host Draft party at Target Field

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they will host their first-ever Draft Party at Target Field on the evening of Monday, June 12, leading up to Major League Baseball's First-Year Player Draft.

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they will host their first-ever Draft Party at Target Field on the evening of Monday, June 12, leading up to Major League Baseball's First-Year Player Draft.
Fans are encouraged to come to the ballpark when gates open at 5:30 p.m. to experience the Major League Baseball Draft, as the Twins will select first overall for the third time in club history. The Twins last selected first overall in 2001, picking Joe Mauer from Cretin-Derham Hall High School.
In-stadium elements will include MLB Network's coverage of the event, analysis of potential selections, Twins draft history and an inside look at the Twins official Draft Room. Additionally, fans can watch interviews from Baseball Operations staff as well as live reaction and insight after the Twins make their selection shortly after 6:00 pm (CT), leading up to the Twins hosting the Mariners with first pitch at 7:10 pm.
