The Oakland A's return home on Thursday, June 15 for an eight-game homestand against the New York Yankees and Houston Astros. The homestand will feature a Karaoke-themed fireworks show, a pair of giveaways, and the dedication of Catfish Hunter Gate at C Gate at the Oakland Coliseum.
The team will dedicate Jim "Catfish" Hunter Gate at C Gate at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 17 before the A's play host to the Yankees. Members of Hunter's family, including his widow, Helen, their three children and their families, will be joined by many of Hunter's former teammates for the dedication ceremony, including Vida Blue, Bert Campaneris, Ray Fosse, Darold Knowles, John "Blue Moon" Odom, Joe Rudi, Gene Tenace and former A's radio broadcaster Monte Moore.

EARTHQUAKES/A's SCARFS: 10,000 fans will receive an Earthquakes/A's scarf, presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort. A's players will also wear special co-branded Earthquakes/A's batting practice jerseys. The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds benefiting Oakland Promise.
FIELD REFURBISHMENT PRESENTATION: The Oakland Athletics, The Scotts Company LLC (Scotts) and Major League Baseball will recognize the opening of a newly refurbished youth baseball field at Elmhurst Community Prep School in Oakland. The official ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly renovated field, which included Baseball Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson, Scotts, MLB and Oakland Cal Ripken Baseball League representatives, was followed by a baseball clinic for 50 youth baseball players from the Oakland Cal Ripken Baseball League yesterday. This project is part of the Scotts® Field Refurbishment Program, a partnership between Scotts, MLB and the Oakland Athletics to give back to kids and communities around the country by renovating youth baseball and softball fields.

The team will also host a special pregame check presentation of $10,000 to the Call of Duty endowment, which identifies and funds the most efficient and effective organizations that help get unemployed veterans back in the workforce.

VOGT TO HOST CATCH ON THE FIELD EXPERIENCE: Stephen Vogt will host supporters of the School of Imagination for a catch on the field experience before the game. Following catch, the fans will participate in a behind-the-scenes tour, watch BP from the field, and receive tickets to the game. The program is supported by Vogt's alma mater Azusa Pacific University.

LITTLE A's: Local youth and their chaperones from nonprofit organizations will have the opportunity to attend an A's game free of charge through the Little A's program. In addition to a game ticket, each child receives a Bank of America souvenir and child-admission pass to the Oakland Zoo. The Little A's program is presented by Bank of America and supported by the Oakland Zoo, Clorox, and Capitol Corridor.
