The Boston Red Sox announced today that right-handed pitcher Tyler Thornburg will undergo treatment for thoracic outlet syndrome in his right shoulder tomorrow, Friday, June 16. The procedure will be performed by Dr. Robert Thompson at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital, home of the Washington University School of Medicine Center for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome in St. Louis, MO.
 
Thornburg is anticipated to be ready for the 2018 season.
