D-backs make four roster moves

The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled LHP Anthony Banda from Triple-A Reno. Banda will start tonight's game in San Francisco.

The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled LHP Anthony Banda from Triple-A Reno, reinstated INF Ketel Martefrom the Bereavement List and optioned RHP Rubby De La Rosa and INF Jack Reinheimer to Reno. Banda will start tonight's game in San Francisco.
Banda, 23, will be making his second career Major League start after debuting vs. Washington Nationals on July 22. In 19 starts with the Aces this season, he is 7-6 with a 5.13 ERA (61 ER in 107.0 IP) and 100 strikeouts.
Banda, who entered 2017 as the D-backs' No. 1 Prospect by both Baseball America and MLB.com, earned the organizations' Minor League Pitcher of the Year honors last season after going 10-6 with a 2.88 ERA between Double-A Mobile and Reno.
Marte, 23, was placed on the Bereavement List on July 31 following the death of his mother, Elpidia Valdez, in the Dominican Republic. He is hitting .242 (15-for-62) with 4 doubles, 4 home runs, 10 RBI and a .814 OPS in 25 games in his first season with the D-backs in 2017.
De La Rosa, 28, has made 9 relief appearances with the D-backs in 2017, going 0-1 with a 4.70 ERA (4 ER in 7.2 IP) and 12 strikeouts (14.09 SO/9.0 IP). He has held opponents scoreless in 4 of his last 5 outings (2.08 ERA; 1 ER in 4.1 IP) and 7 of 9 overall.
Reinheimer, 25, made his Major League debut on Aug. 1 at Chicago Cubs, and played in 2 games with the D-backs.
