The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated left-handed pitcher Kyle Freeland from the 10-day disabled list and have optioned left-handed pitcher Zac Rosscup to Triple-A.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated left-handed pitcher Kyle Freeland from the 10-day disabled list and have optioned left-handed pitcher Zac Rosscup to Triple-A.
· Freeland, 24, was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Aug. 5 with a left groin strain … suffered the groin strain after 0.1 innings pitched in his last start, Aug. 4 … the Denver native made his first Opening Day roster this season and made his Major League debut in the Rockies' home opener, April 7 vs. Los Angeles-NL … is 11-7 with a 3.70 ERA (121.2 IP, 50 ER), 44 walks and 77 strikeouts across 21 starts and one relief appearance … among Major League rookie pitchers, ranks first in wins (11) and ERA among qualifiers (3.70).
· Rosscup, 29, has made three appearances with the Rockies this season, allowing four runs in 3.1 innings pitched (10.80 ERA) with seven hits, no walks and five strikeouts … was acquired via trade from the Chicago Cubs on June 26 in exchange for right-handed pitcher Matt Carasiti … has not allowed a run in eight appearances with Triple-A Albuquerque with four hits, no walks and 10 strikeouts in 9.1 innings pitched … in 65 career relief appearances with Chicago (2013-17) and Colorado (2017), has gone 3-1 with a 5.68 ERA (50.2 IP, 32 ER), 50 hits, 32 walks and 62 strikeouts … was originally selected by Tampa Bay in the 28th round of the 2009 MLB First-Year Player Draft before being traded to Chicago on January 8, 2011.
