Yankees Return to Yankee Stadium for 10-Game Homestand

The New York Yankees return home to Yankee Stadium tomorrow night for the first of a season-high 10-game homestand.

The New York Yankees return home to Yankee Stadium tomorrow night for the first of a season-high 10-game homestand. The stretch will feature a three-game series vs. Robinson Canó and the Seattle Mariners (Friday-Sunday, August 25-27), a three-game set vs. the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians (Monday-Wednesday, August 28-30) and a crucial four-game series vs. their AL East Division rival Boston Red Sox (Thursday-Sunday, August 31-September 3).
Star Wars Night will take place at Yankee Stadium tomorrow night. As part of the festivities, an assortment of Star Wars characters will be present at various locations throughout the stadium to interact with Guests from approximately 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Shortly before first pitch (at approximately 6:30 p.m.), about 100 Star Wars characters will parade on the warning track from centerfield to home plate. In addition, the first 18,000 Guests in attendance will receive a Darth Vader Yankees Knit Cap.
Yankee Stadium will open Gates 6 and 8 at 4:00 p.m. - one hour earlier than usual - for Yankees Batting Practice Block Parties on Monday, August 28 vs. Cleveland and Thursday, August 31 vs. Boston.
Fans with tickets for the Yankees' 7:05 p.m. games on those nights will be able to enjoy a number of activities while watching Yankees batting practice from the Masterpass Batter's Eye Deck, Bleachers, and outfield sections of Yankee Stadium between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Highlights include children's activities and music, the opportunity to take photos with the 2009 World Series trophy and in the Judge's Chambers and other special events and opportunities, which will be announced closer to the dates.
Please note that Yankees batting practice is subject to cancellation depending on weather and/or other considerations.
Aroldis Chapman Bobblehead Day will take place on Sunday, August 27. The first 18,000 Guests in attendance will receive a bobblehead, courtesy of AT&T. The Chapman bobblehead is part of the 2017 limited-edition collectible player bobbleheads, presented by AT&T. The set of four - also Gary Sánchez previously on April 30, Reggie Jackson previously on June 9 and Whitey Ford previously on July 9 - is the fifth series in a collection of Yankees bobbleheads.

On Friday, September 1, the Yankees will host current Little League World Series participant Fairfield American in a Field of Dreams. Prior to the scheduled 7:05 p.m. Yankees-Red Sox game that night, members of the team will take the field with the Yankees for the national anthem.
Ticket specials will run on Saturday, August 26 (Youth Game), Sunday, August 27 (Youth Game), Monday, August 28 (Military Personnel Game), Tuesday, August 29 (Military Personnel Game) and Wednesday, August 30 (Mastercard Half-Price/Military Personnel/Senior Citizen/Student/Youth Game).
