Astros Enter Final Homestand of Regular Season with Division Title in Sight

The Houston Astros return home on Friday for the final regular season home games of the 2017 season. With their magic number down to seven, the Astros will seek to clinch their first division title since 2001 as they take on the Seattle Mariners (Sept. 15-17), Chicago White Sox (Sept. 19-21) and LA Angels of Anaheim (Sept. 22-24). As of today, the Astros lead the AL West Division by 13.0 games and are within 1.5 games of the Cleveland Indians for the best overall record in the American League.

The Houston Astros return home on Friday for the final regular season home games of the 2017 season. The thoughts and prayers of the Astros organization remain with the City of Houston and the many victims impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Additionally, the Astros Foundation is committing its share of the proceeds of every Share2Care 50/50 raffle for the remainder of the season to the American Red Cross, Houston relief efforts targeting hurricane victims.

Friday, September 15 vs. Seattle Mariners - 7:10 p.m.
Prior to Friday evening's matchup against the Mariners, 10,000 fans will receive a Houston Strong T-shirt presented by H-E-B. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive any promotional giveaways, as supplies are limited and not guaranteed.
The Astros and Houston Area Chevy Dealers will honor those who have served and are currently serving our country during Military and First Responders Appreciation Night on Friday, Sept. 15. During a special pregame ceremony, families of first responders and military members will present giant U.S. and Texas flags on the field. Military members and first responders will line the base paths with Astros and Angels players for the National Anthem, and Melissa Salvidar Hamilton of the Houston Police Department will perform a special rendition of God Bless America in the 7th inning in honor of Chevy Military and First Responders Appreciation Night. A ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by U.S. Army Specialist Matthew Connally, who served on the Counter I.E.D. Team in Afghanistan. Eight months into Specialist Connally's tour, his vehicle was struck by an I.E.D., causing him to medically retire from the U.S. Army. For his service, Specialist Connally received a Purple Heart, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two Campaign stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, NATO Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge. Additionally, 500 tickets to Friday's game were donated by Houston Area Chevy Dealers to active-duty U.S. military members.
The Astros Foundation will be raffling off a brand new mPact XTV 750 S, donated by Houston Area Texas Mahindra Dealers, with proceeds benefitting the Astros Foundation. Tickets will be sold at every remaining Astros home game through the end of the season. Fans can purchase raffle tickets on the main concourse behind the escalators near section 107. Tickets are one (1) for $20 or six (6) for $100. The winner will be announced at the annual Diamond Dreams Gala at Minute Maid Park on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 (winner need not be present to win).
Big and Bright Friday Nights begin with a special pregame Budweiser Happy Hour at the Budweiser Brew House, where fans can enjoy $6, 16oz Budweiser Signature Draft beer and food specials, a live DJ, corn hole, jenga, and more from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. before every Friday night home game.
Come cheer on the Astros in the loudest and most energetic part of the ballpark every Friday night in the 'StroZone presented by Texas Mahindra Dealers! This Friday's fireworks theme is Superheroes, featuring music from classic superhero movies and series. Saturday, September 16 vs. Seattle Mariners - 12:05 p.m.
Saturday's 12:05 p.m. game vs. the Seattle Mariners will air exclusively on TV on FOX. Fans can also catch the game on the radio on the Astros flagship radio station 790 KBME AM or in Spanish on La Nueva 94.1 FM.
Saturday is Superhero Day at Minute Maid Park! Fans are encouraged to come dressed up as their favorite superheroes and take pictures with some "Super" special guests in attendance. Superhero Day will take place in Union Station Lobby from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for all those who have purchased a Superhero Day event-specific ticket. The Astros will honor Jose Altuve as their 2017 Roberto Clemente Award nominee during a pregame ceremony prior to Saturday's contest. Astros fans, bring your Rally Pups to the ballpark for the annual Dog Day at Minute Maid Park! Prior to Sunday's contest, the Astros will induct the late Bob Allen, legendary Houston sports anchor and director, into the Houston Baseball Media Wall of Honor during a pregame ceremony on the field. The Astros will present Allen's family with a duplicate of the plaque that will be added to the Houston Baseball Wall of Honor in the Milo Hamilton Press Box at Minute Maid Park. Each season, a current or former Houston media member is inducted into the Houston Baseball Media Wall of Honor for significant and lasting contributions to the landscape of Houston baseball through their work in journalism or broadcasting.

Astros Foundation volunteers will join Astros players' wives and families to help collect school supplies at all entrance gates for children affected by Hurricane Harvey, starting on Tuesday, Sept. 19 and continuing through the rest of the homestand (Sept. 24). Supplies needed include backpacks, book covers, construction paper, erasers, glue (bottle or stick), graph paper, highlighters, index cards, manila paper, No. 2 pencils, notebook paper (wide or college), pencil cases, pens (black, blue, red), pocket folders, rulers, scissors, sharpeners, spiral composition books (wide or college rule), spiral notebooks, three-ring binders, USB flash drives and washable markers.
September is also Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and the Astros will be recognizing several childhood cancer support organizations over the course of the three-game series vs. the Chicago White Sox. Children from these organizations will be invited to participate in various in-game features, including the Kids First Call, a ceremonial first pitch, a pregame ceremony and the in-game Chevy Base Stealer feature. Participating organizations include The Sunshine Kids Foundation, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance and Ronald McDonald House Houston.
