ANAHEIM, CA - The Angels will host "Ducks Night" at Angel Stadium on Tuesday, Sept. 19th vs. the Cleveland Indians and will feature pregame and in-game activities involving the ballclub and the NHL's Anaheim Ducks. The night will include appearances by current players and alumni, including Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Kevin Bieksa, Hampus Lindholm and Francois Beauchemin, as well as Wild Wing and the Ducks Power Players.
Prior to the game, Ducks players will be present for Angels batting practice with both teams wearing co-branded Ducks and Angels jerseys and hats. They will be joined by alumni for an on-field ceremony, and a member of the Ducks will throw out the honorary first pitch. Ducks players and alumni will be interviewed during the Angels Live pregame broadcast, which will feature Guy Hebert as a guest host, and also join the Fox Sports West and AM830 broadcasts live throughout the game.
Upon entering the stadium, all fans in attendance will receive a beanie featuring the co-branded Angels/Ducks logo as well as an Angels logo on one side and Ducks logo on the other, while supplies last.
In-game entertainment all night at the Big A will be Ducks-themed. Special animation will be shown on the video boards including blooper reels, recap highlights of both teams collaborating together and a "What's That Song" segment.
A social media takeover will also occur during the night. Ducks players will be in control of the Angels' Snapchat and a Facebook Live will take place to answer fan questions from their suite. Fox Sports West will also stream batting practice via Facebook Live from the field. Throughout the night, the hashtag #DucksNight can be used by fans to interact with the teams.
The Home Plate area will feature booths setup by both AM830 and the Anaheim Ducks. The Sports Lodge with Roger Lodge will be broadcast just outside the stadium gates and Ducks sales and street team members will have their own tables nearby. A separate Ducks street team will be at the Centerfield Patio.
Fans will also have the opportunity to buy Ducks Night merchandise at the Angel Stadium Team Store, which will feature co-branded Angels/Ducks merchandise including the 2017 Ducks Night Batting Practice jersey and hat. The player-worn Batting Practice jerseys and hats from the day will be available for purchase at Art of the Game located near Section 113 with proceeds going towards the Angels Baseball Foundation. Additionally, autographed co-branded merchandise and special experiences during the 2017-18 Ducks season will be available at angels.com/auctions and will benefit both the Angels Baseball Foundation and Anaheim Ducks Foundation.
