OF Michael Bourn activated from 15-day DL

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster move relative to the Major League roster:

Activated OF MICHAEL BOURN from the 15-day Disabled List.

Bourn has been on the 15-day DL since July 6 with a strained left hamstring. He began a rehab assignment between AA Akron and AAA Columbus on August 5, appearing in 6 games. On the season Michael is hitting .267 (76-285) with 9 doubles, 7 triples, 3 home runs, 21 RBI and 37 runs scored in 66 games.

Bourn assumes the roster spot of John Axford, who was awarded to the Pittsburgh Pirates yesterday on Trade Waivers.
