White Sox center fielder Adam Eaton

White Sox center fielder Adam Eaton, who hit .300 in 123 games last season:

"New beginnings. A freshness. A time where there's great expectations, and where anyone can see themselves winning it all."

New Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli, reporting to Bradenton instead of nearby Tampa for the start of Spring Training for the first time after playing all or part of the last seven seasons with the Yankees:

"For me, especially this year as a new member of the Pirates organization, 'pitchers and catchers report' means opportunity. The opportunity to play the game I love with new teammates, with one goal -- to bring a World Series championship to the great city of Pittsburgh. #LetsGoBucs

Angels right-hander Hector Santiago:

"My favorite day of the season is 'pitchers and catchers report' day. It means that it's time to showcase your long and hard offseason preparation, but more importantly, it's time to get to work! Report day is like a family reunion -- it's always exciting to see your teammates and meet the newest additions -- but after the handshakes and hugs, it's time to focus on a championship-caliber season."

Brian McRae, 10-year veteran outfielder (1990-99) with the Royals, Cubs, Mets, Rockies and Blue Jays:

"'Pitchers and catchers report' means time to get the mind and body ready for the eight-month journey that is Major League Baseball."
