Late scratch again, Jones misses 4th straight

May 30th, 2017

BALTIMORE -- was a late scratch again from Tuesday's lineup against the Yankees, as the Orioles' center fielder missed his fourth consecutive game as he deals with left hip and ankle injuries.
This is the second consecutive game Baltimore posted a lineup against New York with Jones in it, only to adjust after batting practice. Jones was also initially in Monday's lineup against the Yankees, though Orioles manager Buck Showalter cautioned reporters before the game that he wanted to check on the All-Star again, and that starting him wasn't concrete.
Jones was again replaced in center field by Joey Rickard. A team leader and club veteran, Jones is batting .258 with eight homers and 21 RBIs in 45 games this season. He last played on Friday.
