Staffs set for Orioles' eight affiliate clubs

January 12th, 2016

The Orioles revealed the coaching staffs for the 2016 season for their eight Minor League affiliates Tuesday, including a few managerial changes.
Keith Bodie has been named manager at Class A Frederick after spending last season as the hitting coach at Double-A Bowie, and Orlando Gomez returns as the manager of the Gulf Coast League Orioles after spending the 2015 season managing the Frederick Keys.
Bodie spent 16 seasons in the Astros' organization, including three years as manager of Double-A Corpus Christi (2012-14) before joining the Orioles in 2015.
Gomez previously managed the GCL Orioles from 2013-14 and will enter his 12th season in the organization, nine of which have been as a manager.
The rest of the managers in the organization remain the same, including Ron Johnson, who won the International League Manager of the Year honors last season after becoming the winningest manager in Tides history in the process of guiding the club to a division title. He will continue to lead the staff at Triple-A Norfolk in his fifth season as manager.
Gary Kendall will return for his sixth season as manager at Double-A Bowie after the club won its first Eastern League championship in 2015. Ryan Minor will enter his third season as manager for Class A Delmarva, and Luis Pujols will manage Class A Aberdeen for the second season.
