No. 3 prospect Sisco gets Futures Game invite

BALTIMORE -- Orioles catching prospect Chance Sisco has been chosen to participate in the 2016 Sirius/XM All-Star Futures Game as a member of the U.S. Roster.
The game will be held at Petco Park on Sunday, July 10.
Sisco, who has been at Double-A Bowie, is rated the No. 3 prospect in the Orioles organization by MLBPipeline.com. He was the Orioles second-round selection in the 2013 Draft out of Santiago High School in Corona, Calif.

Sisco opened the 2016 season with the Baysox and currently ranks second in the Eastern League with a .401 on-base percentage and fourth in the league with a .309 batting average through 62 games. The catcher has recorded 16 doubles and 23 RBIs while walking and striking out 33 times each over 217 at-bats. In 50 games behind the plate, Sisco has thrown out nearly 30 percent of attempted base stealers (23-of-77).
Major League Baseball, in conjunction with MLB.com, Baseball America and the 30 Major League Clubs, selected the 25 players currently on each team. The SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game, which is now in its 18th year, features the top Minor League prospects competing in a contest as part of All-Star Sunday.
