The Orioles have a trio of unique experiences as part of Major League Baseball's "Play Ball" charity auction this year, which is live at MLB.com/Shannon until Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
The money raised will help support the renovation of an existing youth baseball and softball field, as well as youth programming, in memory of late Mets public relations executive Shannon Forde.
Two lucky fans will get to meet Anderson, the O's vice president of baseball operations, chat about nutrition, work out and have lunch at the club's spring home in Sarasota, Fla. A second package consists of four fans who get to experience Camden Yards: watch Showalter's pregame news conference, take in batting practice, visit the MASN television booth and watch part of the game with executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette in his suite.
The third opportunity is for one lucky fan to be a public address announcer for a Spring Training game at Ed Smith Stadium. The winner will arrive to the ballpark a few hours before game time and will make all PA announcements before and during the game. The winner will also receive up to four tickets for their family and/or friends.
