Hunter Harvey continued to make strides on Tuesday in his return from Tommy John surgery, and once again it involved a dominant performance from the 22-year-old right-hander.
Harvey, Baltimore's No. 7 prospect, struck out five over 2 2/3 scoreless innings in his second rehab start for Class A Delmarva. He threw a season-high 43 pitches, 28 for strikes, allowing one hit and one walk in the outing.
The scoreless performance was Harvey's seventh in as many rehab starts this season. He's allowed eight hits in 15 2/3 innings across those outings, compiling 25 strikeouts and five walks.
Selected 22nd overall in the 2013 Draft, Harvey excelled the following year during his full-season debut with Delmarva, even earning a trip to the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Games at age 19. He rehabbed from an elbow injury that cost him all of 2015, only to require Tommy John surgery early the following year.
In total, injuries have limited Harvey to just 28 1/3 innings since the start of the 2015 season.

• No. 23 overall prospect Brendan McKay (Rays' No. 3) delivered a two-run, walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning to help Class A Short Season Hudson Valley earn the split in a doubleheader versus Tri-City. The 2017 third-overall Draft pick finished with a career-high three hits, going 3-for-5 with a double, and drove in three runs for the third time this season.

• No. 86 overall prospect Yusniel Diaz (Dodgers' No. 5) posted his third four-hit game of the season and first as a member of Double-A Tulsa. Two of those hits were doubles, as the 20-year-old outfielder finished 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored. He's slashing .333/.398/.464 with eight extra-base hits over 25 games in the Texas League.

• Blue Jays No. 5 prospectTeoscar Hernandez started Triple-A Buffalo's scoring with a two-run shot in the first inning, his fourth home run in seven games. The 24-year-old outfielder, who finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBIs, has produced 13 extra-base hits and 19 RBIs in 24 games since his acquisition from Houston as part of the Trade Deadline deal for Francisco Liriano.

• Indians No. 3 prospect Bobby Bradley blasted his 22nd home run and reached base four times to finish 2-for-3 with two walks as Double-A Akron edged Harrisburg, 10-9. The 21-year-old first baseman has produced plus power in the Eastern League this season while also tightening his approach -- a notion supported by his 118 strikeouts in 125 games for Akron after he fanned 170 times over 131 contests in 2016.

• Orioles No. 3 prospect Ryan Mountcastle connected on his second homer in three games and later added a double to finish 2-for-4 in Double-A Bowie's win against Trenton. He matched his season high with four RBIs, driving in a pair each with the home run and the double. The 20-year-old third baseman has had a strong season at the plate, hitting 18 home runs and 45 doubles across two levels, though he owns just a .213 average and three homers in 33 Eastern League contests.

• Phillies No. 21 prospect Spencer Howard established a career high as he racked up 10 strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings for Class A Short Season Williamsport. The 2017 second-rounder allowed one earned run on two hits and four walks before departing with 87 pitches (55 strikes). In addition to posting 40 strikeouts in 28 1/3 innings in his pro debut, the 6-foot-3 righty has not allowed a home run while limiting opposing hitters to a .214 clip. On the other side of the ball, Jhailyn Ortiz (No. 20) hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning to cap a 3-for-4, four-RBI game.
• Rays No. 12 prospect Austin Franklin completed six scoreless innings for a second straight start in a no-decision for Class A Short Season Hudson Valley. He found the strike zone with 51 of his 65 pitches in the outing, while striking out seven and allowing two hits. Franklin has been dominant down the stretch, posting a 0.77 ERA over his last four starts.
• Rays No. 14 prospect Michael Mercado set a career high with five strikeouts as he turned in his sixth scoreless performance in eight starts in the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League. He yielded two hits and recorded four outs via ground balls in the outing. Mercado, a 2017 second-rounder, has posted a 1.69 ERA in his professional debut, with 14 strikeouts and four walks in 21 1/3 frames.
• White Sox No. 10 prospect Dane Dunning took the loss for Class A Advanced Winston-Salem despite tossing six innings of two-run ball with 10 strikeouts. He allowed two hits -- one a two-run homer by Brewers No. 10 prospect Lucas Erceg -- and two walks in the outing, generating six ground-ball outs and throwing 59 of his 96 pitches for strikes. It marked the fourth double-digit strikeout performance this season for the 22-year-old righty, who owns a 3.09 ERA with 159 strikeouts in 137 innings (10.5 K/9) across two levels.
• Yankees No. 6 prospectMiguel Andujar hit a two-run homer and tripled as Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre defeated Rochester, 8-1.
