Rain postpones O's-Nationals series opener

WASHINGTON -- Monday night's series opener between the Nationals and Orioles was postponed due to inclement weather in the D.C. area. The game will be made up on Thursday at 4:05 p.m. ET -- originally a mutual off-day and scheduled to be Baltimore's final off-day of the regular season.

The Orioles are six games back of the second AL Wild Card spot with 13 games to play in the regular season.

Right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez (11-9, 4.31 ERA), who was scheduled to start for the O's on Monday, will now pitch on Tuesday against Nats lefty Gio Gonzalez. Chris Tillman is slated to start on Wednesday, followed by Tyler Wilson on Thursday.

Fans with tickets to Monday night's game can use their original ticket for Thursday's game. Further ticket information can be found at nationals.com/rainout.
