Nats-O's Thursday game postponed by rain

Clubs set makeup date for June 8 at 7:05 p.m. ET

WASHINGTON -- Thursday's game between the Nationals and the Orioles was postponed due to inclement weather, after rain fell down throughout the day in Washington. The game has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 8, at 7:05 p.m. ET.
The postponement allows the Nats to skip A.J. Cole in their rotation this time around, with right-hander facing the Phillies on Friday night as previously scheduled.
All tickets for Thursday's game will be honored at the rescheduled game on June 8. For additional information, please visit www.nationals.com/rain.

It also provides a day of rest for the Nats' struggling bullpen. with reinforcements likely on the way Friday. is eligible to be activated from the disabled list after missing just 10 days with a lower back strain. He threw a simulated game on Wednesday and felt great afterward, saying that should be enough for him to return without a rehab assignment.
Right-hander was back at Nationals Park on Thursday after he threw a scoreless inning for Double-A Harrisburg on Wednesday as part of his Minor League rehab assignment. Manager Dusty Baker has said Glover, who has been on the DL since April 26 with a left hip impingement, should be ready to return this weekend. He came back feeling great about his rehab outing.
So for the start of Friday's series with the Phillies, the Nats could be gaining a huge boost to their bullpen with the return of their co-closers.
