O's hurlers Bundy, Harvey fly into Top 100
Former first-round Draft pick ranked 20th overall prospect; fellow righty is No. 39
BALTIMORE -- Two promising young Orioles pitchers were named to MLB.com's Top 100 Prospects list on Friday night, with both Dylan Bundy and Hunter Harvey cracking the top half of the rankings released live on MLB Network.
Bundy was ranked at No. 20, while Harvey was No. 39.
The annual ranking of baseball's Top 100 Prospects is assembled by MLBPipeline.com Draft and prospect experts Jonathan Mayo and Jim Callis, who compile input from industry sources, including scouts and scouting directors. It is based on analysis of players' skill sets, upsides, proximity to the Majors and potential immediate impact to their teams. The list, which is one of several prospect rankings on MLBPipeline.com's Prospect Watch, only includes players with rookie status in 2015. Team-by-team Top 30 Prospects lists for 2015 will be unveiled in March.

Bundy, who spent last season working his way back from Tommy John surgery, is expected to be healthy for big league Spring Training. The 22-year-old power right-hander was Baltimore's first-round Draft pick in 2011, and he made his big league debut in '12 when rosters expanded in September. But Bundy's timetable stalled when he had the season-ending surgery in June '13.
While Bundy won't have any physical restrictions on him this season, the O's will carefully monitor his Minor League innings to ensure he can help the big league club, if needed, at the end of the year.

Harvey's first full season in professional baseball was cut short due to what the club hopes is a minor elbow injury. The 20-year-old spent the whole year pitching for the Class A Delmarva Shorebirds, and he posted a 3.18 ERA, striking out 106 batters in 87 2/3 innings.
