Orioles Recall RHP Jorge Rondon from AAA Norfolk; Place RHP Mike Wright on the 15-Day DL

The Orioles today announced that they have recalled RHP JORGE RONDON from Triple-A Norfolk and placed RHP MIKE WRIGHT on the 15-day disabled list with a left calf strain.

Rondon, 26, went 2-1 with a 2.01 ERA (40.1IP, 9ER) in 24 games with Triple-A Norfolk this season, including an eight-game scoreless streak, July 2-29 (13.2IP). In 29 combined games with the Tides and Triple-A Albuquerque this season, Rondon went 2-1 with a 1.91 ERA (47.0IP, 10ER). The right-hander was claimed off waivers by the Orioles from the Colorado Rockies on May 10. Rondon will wear No. 57.

Wright, 25, exited last night's game in the fifth inning with a left calf strain after allowing one hit in an inning of work.
