Big social media event on tap before Tuesday's game

BALTIMORE -- The Orioles will host Social Media Night prior to Tuesday's 7:05 p.m. ET matchup against the Braves.

"Birdland Social" will provide an exclusive pregame party on the center-field Roof Deck for 250 of the Orioles' most engaged social media followers. The event will include a question-and-answer session with Hall of Famer and Orioles longtime pitcher and announcer Jim Palmer and MASNsports.com Orioles writer Roch Kubatko.

Tickets for the Birdland Social pregame party range from $30 to $60 and include access to the party, a catered menu, two drink coupons per person, a ticket to the game (Roof Deck, Eutaw Street bleachers, or upper reserve with varied pricing), and an exclusive T-shirt with a unique social media design. The party will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until 6:30. A limited number of tickets are available at orioles.com/birdlandsocial.

Additionally, the Orioles are offering fans the chance to vote on one of three unique designs for the Birdland Social T-shirt. Fans can vote via individual hashtags on Twitter or Instagram. Real-time results of the voting and the T-shirt designs are viewable at the same link on which tickets are available.

Social Media Night will conclude with various promotions and prizes for all fans attending the game, including the "Catch a #Winner" promotion that will take place during batting practice. Fans who retrieve a ball that has been stamped #Winner will be able to retrieve a prize at the Orioles Fan Assistance Booth. Several lucky fans will also have the chance to take a selfie with some Orioles players, and fans who tweet #BringMeFood will be eligible to receive complimentary food delivered to their seats during the game by tweeting the hashtag along with their desired menu item and their seat location.

Additional promotions will take place throughout the night both for fans in attendance and those following at home. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned to the Orioles' social accounts for details, announcements, and exclusive clues.
