Padres agree to terms on one-year contract with RHP Dustin Moseley

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres today announced they have agreed to terms with right-handed pitcher Dustin Moseley on a one-year contract for the 2012 season. Executive Vice President/General Manager Josh Byrnes made the announcement.

The 30-year-old right-hander went 3-10 with a 3.30 ERA (44 ER/120.0 IP) over 20 starts with the Padres last year, his first season in the National League.  Moseley underwent surgery on his left shoulder in August of 2011, missing the remainder of the year.

In 100 games, 52 starts, over parts of six Major League seasons with the Los Angeles Angels (2006-09), New York Yankees (2010) and Padres (2011), he has gone 15-21 with a 4.61 ERA (181 ER/353.1 IP).

With today’s transaction, all arbitration-eligible players are now under contract for the 2012 season.
