Renfroe, Margot streaking for El Paso

Pimental throws 7-inning shutout

The Padres' top two outfield prospects are heating up with Triple-A El Paso.
Right fielder Hunter Renfroe homered in both ends of a doubleheader split at Salt Lake on Sunday and has homered in four straight games.
Center fielder Manuel Margot extended his hitting streak to eight straight games to raise his batting average to .293.
Margot, 21, is considered the top prospect in the Padres' system. He was 3-for-6 in Sunday's doubleheader with a double, a walk, his fifth stolen base, a RBI and a run scored. Margot is 13-for-31 during his eight-game hitting streak.
Renfroe, 24, is the No. 3 prospect in the Padres' farm system. He was 4-for-7 Sunday with homers in both games, plus a double with two RBIs and three runs scored. He is 7-for-14 over the last four games with four homers and six RBIs and is now hitting .339 on the season.
El Paso (6-10) won the first game, 7-0, Sunday and lost the second, 6-5.
In the first game, right-hander Carlos Pimental (2-1, 4.96 ERA) threw a seven-inning complete-game shutout, allowing five hits and a walk with a strikeout. Right-hander Jeremy Guthrie (0-4, 11.50 ERA) allowed six runs on seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts in the second game.
Catcher Jason Hagerty (.296) was 3-for-5 in the doubleheader with a double, a triple, a RBI and a run scored. Shortstop Diego Goris (.400) was 3-for-7 with a double, a triple, a RBI and a run scored.
Left fielder Alex Dickerson (.319) was 2-for-7 in the two games with his third homer and a double. Second baseman Carlos Asuaje (.321) was 2-for-7 with his third homer and two RBIs. First baseman James Loney (.269) was 2-for-7 with two runs scored.

LF Nick Torres (.341) was 2-for-4 and scored a run. 1B Taylor Lindsey (.270) was 1-for-3 with a double, a RBI and two runs scored. Starting RHP Johnny Hellweg (1-2, 7.07 ERA) allowed four runs on five hits and four walks in 5 2/3 innings. LHP Brandon Alger (11.37) allowed a run on two hits and two walks in two innings. RHP Jason Jester (0.00) picked up his third save, striking out two in 1 1/3 perfect innings.
CLASS A ADVANCED LAKE ELSINORE (9-9): BAKERSFIELD 8, Storm 0. Starting LHP Thomas Dorminy (0-3, 10.67 ERA) allowed seven runs on eight hits and five walks with five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings. LHPs Kyle McGrath (0.00) and Jose Torres (0.96) and RHP Jimmy Brasoban (0.00) each pitched perfect innings. LHP Brad Wieck (1.74) allowed a run on a hit and a walk with a strikeout in an inning.
CLASS A FORT WAYNE (9-9): SOUTH BEND 7, TinCaps 6 (10 innings). Starting RHP Brett Kennedy (3.12 ERA) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks with six strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings. LHP Will Headean (1.42) allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits in 2 2/3 innings. RHP Nick Monroe (1.93) allowed a run on four hits in 1 1/3 innings. LHP Jerry Keel (0-3, 3.38 ERA) allowed a run on a hit and two walks with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings. C A.J. Kennedy (.176) was 2-for-3.
