NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. -- Pat Gillick is one of the most successful front-office executives in baseball history, which is why he earned a spot in the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2011. Gillick received further recognition this week at the Winter Meetings.
Baseball America presented Gillick its Roland Hemond Award for long-term contributions to scouting and player development. Gillick is a part owner of the Phillies, also serving as a senior advisor to the president and general manager.
Several members of the club received further recognition this week at the Winter Meetings:
• Outfield prospect Mickey Moniak received Baseball America's High School Player of the Year Award. Philadelphia selected Moniak with the first overall pick in the 2016 Draft. He is the No. 24 prospect in baseball, according to MLBPipeline.com.

• Phillies director of team travel and clubhouse services Frank Coppenbarger received the Donald Davidson Award for the league's traveling secretary of the year. Coppenbarger's peers voted on the award last month.
• The Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS) named Gulf Coast League Phillies athletic trainer Troy Hoffert its Minor League Athletic Trainer of the Year. "Troy does a tremendous job for the Philadelphia Phillies and is an extremely deserving recipient of this honor," PBATS president Mark O'Neal said in a statement. "I'm thrilled for Troy and the Phillies organization."
• Phils physician Michael Ciccotti received PBATS' 20-year service award.
