PHOENIX -- D-backs first baseman Paul Goldschmidt has spent the last week on a tear after a rough May. Still, his recent hot streak hasn't been reflected on the 2018 Camping World MLB All-Star ballot yet.

The first National League All-Star ballot update was released Monday, and Goldschmidt didn't earn enough votes to place in the top five for first basemen.
However, this doesn't mean Goldschmidt won't be an All-Star starter. He can still make a push.
Goldschmidt just won his second career NL Player of the Week Award, slashing .640/.690/1.440 with 10 runs scored, 16 hits, six doubles, a triple, four homers and 11 RBIs over the last six games.
"He has been smashing balls all over the place," D-backs manager Torey Lovullo said. "For me, the storm was coming. Somebody was going to have to pay and, obviously, there were a couple teams in San Francisco and Colorado that had to pay for some of what happened earlier in the year to him."
It came after a rough May, when Goldschmidt constantly looked for answers and adjustments.
"It's not like you just come here like, 'Oh, played bad, let's just go play bad the next day,'" Goldschmidt said. "But it's not that easy. There's not just a magical pill you take. It doesn't matter how much video you look at or how many swings you take."
And as Goldschmidt goes, so do his teammates. After a hot start to the season, the D-backs were 8-19 in May. On one road trip, they went 1-8. They even lost hold of first place in the NL West.
Now, they've regained that. They just won five of six on their most recent road trip and have been victorious in eight of their past nine.
It's largely because their slugger is back to being himself.
"I just think it was him getting a little confidence, hitting a couple pitches the way he was supposed to and saying, 'There it is, that feels good," Lovullo said of Goldschmidt. "When things click for a professional athlete, they really click. He's in that special place right now."

Each fan can vote up to five times in any 24-hour period, for a maximum of 35 ballots cast.
Following the announcement of this year's All-Star starters, reserves and pitchers, fans should return to MLB.com and cast their 2018 Camping World MLB All-Star Final Vote for the final player on each league's roster. Then on Tuesday, July 17, while watching the 2018 All-Star Game presented by Mastercard live on FOX, fans may visit MLB.com to submit their choices for the Ted Williams Most Valuable Player Award presented by Chevrolet with the 2018 MLB All-Star Game MVP Vote.
The 89th Midsummer Classic, at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., will be televised nationally by FOX Sports; in Canada by Rogers Sportsnet and RDS; and worldwide by partners in more than 180 countries.
