Petco Park's Park at the Park to show 2014 FIFA World Cup USA vs. Belgium match Tuesday

Park at the Park will be open to the public free of charge to watch USA vs. Belgium World Cup match on Tuesday

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres and Mayor Kevin Faulconer today announced that Petco Park's Park at the Park will host a public viewing area for the 2014 FIFA World Cup match between the United States and Belgium taking place Tuesday, July 1 at 1:00 p.m. PT. 

To prepare for the 7:10 p.m. PT Padres game against the Cincinnati Reds, the Park at the Park will be closed to the public until 12:30 p.m. PT on Tuesday with East Village and Gaslamp Gates opening free of charge to the public at 12:30 p.m. Following the conclusion of the match the Park at the Park will close again for preparation for the Padres game and re-open to ticket holders at 4:30 p.m. PT. 

Discounted parking will be made available in both the Tailgate and Parcel C parking lots. Select concessions will also be made available for purchase in the Park at the Park area, including the beer garden.

This season the Padres added a new LED video display that was designed, manufactured and installed by Daktronics Inc. The video display is located directly behind the batter's eye at Petco Park in the Park at the Park area. The display measures approximately 17 feet high by 29 feet wide, providing crisp, clear imagery.
