Here's a look at top prospects to watch in today's Minor League action:
Hitter to watch: (Phillies' No. 3), Lehigh Valley at Columbus (6:35 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Alfaro, ranked 67th on MLBPipeline.com's Top 100 Prospects list, enters the day with a .377/.397/.607 batting line for Triple-A Lehigh Valley after going 3-for-4 with his third home run on Tuesday. The three-hit performance was already Alfaro's fourth of the season, and he's hit safely in 13 of 15 contests for the IronPigs.

Pitcher to watch: Merandy Gonzalez (Mets' No. 14), Columbia vs. Asheville (11:05 a.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Gonzalez has yet to allow a run this season in 20 2/3 innings for Class A Columbia. In his most recent turn, the 21-year-old righty allowed three singles and struck out a season-high seven batters over seven innings en route to his third win in as many starts for the Fireflies. He's held opposing hitters to a .143 average in that span, striking out 18 and walking just one.

Duel of the day: (Red Sox's No. 11) vs. Tyler Eppler (Pirates' No. 27), Pawtucket vs. Indianapolis (6:05 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Johnson is set to make his first start for Triple-A Pawtucket since picking up his first big league win in a spot start for the Red Sox on April 18. The 26-year-old lefty has pitched well in a pair of no-decisions for Pawtucket, posting a 1.69 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 10 2/3 frames.

Eppler, 24, also has thrown the ball well to begin the season, going 2-0 with a 1.06 ERA in three starts for Indianapolis. The righty also sports a 0.65 WHIP, a product of him yielding just 10 hits and one walk in 17 innings.
